Happy Tails Sanctuary: When I arrived from Europe to Koh Samui, Thailand many years ago, I quickly felt the calling to help stray dogs and cats. Many of them lived in difficult conditions, fighting to survive on the streets, injured, sick or abandoned around the corner. From the moment I welcomed my first dog, I knew I was going to dedicate my life to his care. Instead of sending them to a shelter, I chose to open my own home to these animals, offering them a safe place and the promise of sustaining them for the rest of their lives. Today, approximately 57 dogs and 38 cats call the sanctuary home, each with a unique and often heartbreaking story. In addition to the animals in our care, we also care for stray dogs in our area, providing them with medical treatment and ensuring their basic needs are met. We do not receive any government funding so any form of support is essential for us to continue our work. Whether it's sponsoring a dog or cat, making donations, volunteering on site, sharing our message or in other ways, your help makes a difference.
