Set in 28 hectares of natural beauty, Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui offers an exclusive sanctuary with a private bay and beachfront. The story of Tongsai Bay began in 1985 when the late Khun Akorn Hoontrakul, chairman of the Imperial Hotel Group, discovered the bay and purchased the land. The resort opened in 1987 as Samui's first five-star luxury hotel. In 1993, Khun Akorn retained the resort after selling his hotel group, hoping to spend his life there with his wife, Khun Chompunute. In 2000, Khun Thanakorn and Khun Saisiri took over management, continuing Khun Akorn's legacy of environmentally friendly practices. In 2021, a partnership was formed with Banyan Group, continuing the sustainability mission. Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui is committed to preserving its heritage and environment for future generations.
